The "pain points" of the lack of supply chain platforms in the domestic plastics industry will be cracked. On April 20th, at the 2018 China (Chongqing) Plastic Industry Innovation Forum sponsored by the Chongqing Plastics Association, the Chongqing Plastic Trading Platform was launched. In the future, plastics companies in the city can use the computer or mobile phone to connect the logistics and information flow with the domestic industry on the platform.
According to reports, the plastic multi-trade platform integrates online trading, supply chain finance, warehousing logistics, and industrial R&D and testing centers. It uses the “Internet+” approach to lay out the plastics industry chain, and uses big data to statistically analyze and monitor market demand and promote plastics. Enterprises optimize resource allocation and rationally guide product R&D.
Driven by the country’s western development strategy and the accelerated growth of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone, the demand for plastic products in the western market has increased year by year, and product demand has been concentrated in the fields of construction, packaging, industrial accessories and daily necessities. As of the end of last year, Chongqing achieved an annual output of more than 3 million tons of plastic products, becoming the major plastic product production base and sales area in the west.
